Patience Amankwah was a 12-year-old vulnerable child in Nsuontem in the Ashanti region of Ghana. Due to the financial difficulties of her single mother, Patience almost dropped out of school in the 3rd grade. Patience was rescued by the SMILE Ghana Project and supported with all the necessary school logistics, which kept her interested in the school. Patience is now in 6th grade at Nsuontem D/A Basic School. Her favorite field of study is mathematics. She commutes about 3 km to school every day.
Patience has completed her elementary school and she is now in senior high school. She wants to be a vetinary nurse in future.
